A Dry Port is an intermodal freight terminal located in the interior of the country or economic region that is connected, via the railway network, with the seaport of origin or destination port of the traffic handled. Then, the port traffic is handled in an inland area. Intermodality is one of the features of a Dry Port, that is, combining different modes or modalities of forms of transport, to make freight transport more agile, flexible, reliable and efficient.
